Real wine and dine souvenirs from Prague

Prague ham – „Pražská šunka“ a traditional Czech delicacy, has recently been added to the EU list of ‘traditional specialities guaranteed.’ The boneless pork ham, which is mildly smoked after being stewed, has been produced here since 1860s.
Spa wafers “Lázeňské oplatky” are a special type of giant wafer cookies. The most famous ones are produced in the city of Karlovy Vary – where the thermal Spas are. The Kolonada brand, by Opavia, is the original and can be found at any grocery store.
Mature cheese - „Olomoucké tvarůžky“ - a made of skim milk. It has a completely unique spicy flavour, a typical smell (!), surface with a golden yellow cover and a sticky semi-soft consistency. It comes in the form of circles, rings, sticks or irregular pieces. Tvaruzky is a table cheese. It has a typical and unmistakable taste and smell caused by the degradation of cheese proteins during the maturing process. Thanks to its nutritional values – low energy value and full-value proteins and calcium, tvaruzky is ranked among the top cheeses.
Beer -  "Pivo" the Czech national drink (Gambrinus, Pilsner Urquell, Staropramen, Svijany, Velkopopovicky kozel, Radegast, Budweiser Budvar, Krusovice). Becherovka, an herbal liquor made in Karlovy Vary, is a lovely spirit to share, or try the bit more bitter, Fernet. Another stronger one is the plum brandy, slivovice. Also highly recommended are white vines from Moravian region.
